If you choose a pick which is too hard then you’re much more likely to produce a harsh and raspy sound which is not at all nice to listen to.

You Need To Find A Balance Between A Pick That Is Flexible Enough To Sound Smooth And Warm But Not So Light As To Give You Insufficient Attack Against The Strings
