I promise you that if you practice in a hurried and slopply way then that's exactly how your programming your mind to play. You will succeed in playing badly... perfectly, because that is how you have programmed your mind.

It takes a lot of patience to practice slowly but 15min of QUALITY practice on guitar is worth 5 hours of bad and hurried practice full of mistakes. You should practice at a speed where it's impossible for you to make a mistake.

What Happens When You Practice Acoustic Guitar Properly?

Once you have put in the work of programming your brain slowly and perfectly it's going to be much easier to speed up. The difference here is that more speed will now not mean more mistakes as is often the case when you practice badly. You'll be able to play fast but still perfectly!
