There were rumors roaming around that Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler tried out for the vocal positions for the Led Zeppelin band and the experience was later called, “awkward.” This was confirmed by Aerosmith guitarist, Joe Perry.
Tyler even kept that new from his band mates which only shows how difficult it is nowadays to deal with Tyler. He was one of the vocalists to be shortlisted to be the replacement for Robert Plant after he decides that he will not be pursuing a Led Zeppelin Reunion. Perry spoke with Led Zeppelin’s guitarist, Jimmy Page and learned that the audition that took place in London was a bit awkward.
Tyler just disappeared and Perry went calling around people and somebody told him that he’s off to London to try out for Led Zeppelin. Apparently, this thing was never talked about within the band and is proof how hard it is to maintain a friendly balance with Tyler. But still, it isn’t the first time that an incident like this happened within the group. That’s one of the disadvantages of Aerosmith.
Up to this very day, Tyler hasn’t spoke about that audition incident. This suggests that he decide that he wants to remain in the band but too bad for him, his Aerosmith mates have finally run out of patience.
